Before the Scabs

I was born in North Carolina and I've been told, I once was a happy child with no cares in the world! I was sweet, loving, and full of life. My mind was a fresh, clean slate ready to be molded and taught all of life's lessons. I got excited over the little things like a sweet snack, hugs, and going somewhere new. I enjoyed dancing and singing. Life was good. It was awesome. Sometimes, I wish I could live in those adolescent moments forever but sadly I had to grow up and face a rude awakening. Life is not all rainbows and butterflies. Life is hard. Life takes effort. Life has ups and downs. Sucks right? Unfortunately it's inevitable!!
